Week of Action to Target Residents' Concerns
Devon police will be out in force for ‘Operation Everest’ - a week of action from 31 October to 6 November 2010. The main aim of the operation is to work with partner agencies to reduce anti social behaviour, offer crime prevention advice and engage with local residents to understand their concerns. 

Code of Good Practice for Public Access to Local Crime Information October 2008 for Police Forces and Authorities in England and Wales
This Code of Good Practice sets out the core requirements and data holding sets and has been developed in consultation with a range of stakeholders including the Association of Police Authorities (APA), Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) and a virtual network of practitioners. It contains a set of minimum standards which all forces will be expected to meet.

My Police - Police Report Card
Introduction of the police report card, to give the public a much clearer sense of what is working well in their area. The public can enter their postcode on www.mypolice.org.uk and get Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary's (HMIC) independent judgement on how well their local force is performing, and where it can improve, as well as a view on how their local area compares in terms of crime rates.
