Designated Public Places order
A Designated Public Places order (DPPO), which will control the consumption of alcohol in public places in specified areas, has been introduced by Torridge District Council, effective from 21st June 2010.

Northern Devon Radio Link Scheme
The scheme provides local business with a handheld back-to-back radio, with permanent talk through capability. This means that members can communicate with each other, the CCTV Control Room, and PCSO's.

Devon Local Area Agreement 2008-2011
The LAA includes 31 targets derived from the set of national performance indicators for local authorities and their partners which are proposed for designation by the Secretary of State. The LAA takes forward the vision for Devon and is a step, over the next three years, towards delivering the Devon Sustainable Community Strategy priorities and ten year outcomes.

Safer North Devon Delivery Plan 2008-2011
The current delivery plan for SND (2008-2011) is owned by the LSP and is delivered through multi-agency partnership groups either developed specifically or by adapting existing thematic based groups. These groups work to deliver shared targets in the 6 outcome areas which have been defined by the Safer Devon Partnership (SDP) in its delivery of the Safer Communities strand of the Devon Local Area Agreement (LAA). Safer North Devon support the (SDP) county wide delivery plan and have developed their own action plan to compliment this and deliver on local needs.
