Hate crimes are under reported and only by getting people to report incidents can organisations build up a complete picture of hate incidents in the area and start to do something to stop them.
The aim is to produce a form that is an easy way for people to report incidents (both criminal and non-criminal).
• Produced a Hate Incident Reporting form
• Printed and distributed the form across North Devon and Torridge at key locations e.g. Doctors, hospitals, Council buildings, community halls.
• Printed and distributed posters
We are still in the early stages and it is hoped that reporting will increase as we publicise the forms and start demonstrating that reporting does make a difference.
