Alcohol services in prisons: an unmet need’ is a recent HM Inspectorate of Prisons thematic report which reveals the gaps between the needs of prisoners with alcohol problems and the services that exist to support them. The report shows that in the last year, 19% of prisoners surveyed reported having an alcohol problem when they entered prison. It is even higher among young adults (30%) and women (29%).
Blueprint Drugs Education: The Response of Pupils and Parents to the Programme
This report focuses on the second stage of the blueprint evaluation. It deals with how pupils and parents responded to the programme as well as pupils' awareness and knowledge of drug use, their perception of drug use and acceptability of drug use among same-age peers and the quality and frequency of parent-child communication on drugs.

This guidance provides a single point of reference on Drinking Banning Orders (DBOs) for the police and local authorities, magistrates and approved course providers. Drink Banning Orders (DBOs) are to be used to address an individual's alcohol misuse behaviour and protect others and their property from such behaviour. DBOs are a new civil order that came into force on 31st August 2009 and are similar in their working to Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs).
